Additionally funded: Whai Rawa financial capability scheme ($7.4m contributed by Te Rūnanga in FY2024 calendar year); Hauora grants for whānau support ($3.38m); housing programmes including Nōhaka Rau home ownership; multiple scholarship and educational support programmes; and cultural preservation initiatives. Distribution rate reviewed and FY2026 budget reduced by 30% due to portfolio assessment indicating distributions had exceeded sustainable long-term generation levels when accounting for population growth and inflation projections.
