CharityData NZ is an independent data platform that analyses publicly available data from the Charities Register and charity annual returns to help donors, trustees, funders, and researchers make informed decisions about New Zealand charities.
Our rating methodology (v3.0) evaluates charities across three key dimensions:
- Financial Health - Program spending ratios, fundraising efficiency, and reserve levels
- Governance - Board composition, oversight quality, and governance abuse indicators
- Transparency - Disclosure quality, reporting timeliness, and data availability
