Wairoa Community Ngahere Nursery is focused on the propagation of native plants to assist with the control of erosion and restoration of wetlands and waterways around our local area. Establish a community nursery, which encourages volunteer participation in its operation. Growing native plants for riparian restoration planting projects areas. Eco sourcing local seeds/seedlings. Establishing healthy relationships with our community, through the provision of native plants in the Wairoa District. Educating our community about native vegetation and its benefits to our environment To be available to all members of the community regardless of age, gender, culture and abilities.
