To promote the improvement of literacy and numeracy through out the community.To improve our community by meeting needs through service and fundraising projects.To promote the development of leadership and vocational skills in the community.To improve -  public amenities, natural environment, protection of human life, welfare of animals & social rehabilitation services.To provide assistance to other charitable organisations.To provide assistance to our community and other communities in times of disaster.To otherwise encourage participation in the community on a non-partisan basis.   The Trust's objectives shall only be carried out in and to benefit people of New Zealand, however the Trustees may carry out activities outside of New Zealand to promote the Trust or the humanitarian activities of Lions Club International.
