The Waimarama Maori Committee are Trustees for the Marae. The Trustees are responsible for managing Waimarama 3A1C1 set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of recreation ground; sports ground; building site and meeting place for the common use and benefit of Ngāti Kurukuru, Ngāti Ura-ki-te-Rangi, Ngāti Hikatoa, and Ngāti Whakaiti of the Ngāti Kahungunu iwi.
