Waiaua Marae Trust

To preserve Waiaua Marae for the benefit of the beneficiaries and to apply any income received in relation to the Marae for the purpose of promoting Cultural, Social or Economic Welfare. Social: The coming together of family through participation of sporting activities, Tangihanga, educational programs i.e. cultural, parenting, healthy eating, drug and alcohol and any other program that would be beneficial to the beneficiaries. Cultural: The teachings of Tikanga Maori i.e Karakia, Whakapapa, Kapa haka, Waiata, Tangihanga, Te Reo, Karanga etc. Economic Welfare: Housing, employment. Promoting Education and vocational training. General advancement in life of the beneficiaries.
