The Youth Spaces Charitable Trust

Purposes of the Youth Spaces Charitable Trust are to: (a) Provide and/or promote educational, social, cultural, sporting and other opportunities for young people and/or their families and/or their communities. (b) Promote and support youth at risk development via amateur sports, recreation and leisure participation leading to increased self-esteem and self-confidence. (c) Be gender, race and religious inclusive. (d) Assist young people, and/or their families and/or their communities to identify, develop and build their capability, capacity, confidence and resilience. (e) To develop and/or promote programmes that build peoples self-esteem, self-responsibility and communications skills. (f) To develop and/or promote programmes that build community cohesion. (g) To acknowledge and foster the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. (h) The activities of the trust shall be carried out in all areas in the greater Auckland area or New Zealand and deemed appropriate by the board.
