The Otago Muslim Association Incorporated

1. To provide facilities for Muslims in the Otago district to practice Islam as enjoined by the Holy Qur'an and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). 2. To promote and develop the true understanding of Islam between Muslims and the wider New Zealand community. 3. To provide Islamic educational facilities for Muslims living in the region, with special emphasis on educational activities for children and new Muslims. 4. To help Muslims who are on a reduced standard of living and in need of charitable assistance, regardless of place of birth, race or colour. 5. To develop and maintain co-operation and communication amongst Muslims in New Zealand and those overseas. 6. To undertake regular income generating activities in accordance with Islamic principles for the futherance of the above mentioned aims and objectives of the OMA.
