"1. The objects for which the Trust is established are: 1.1. To promote and further the social well being of the peoples of New Zealand who are of a mind to consider the well being and freedom from cruelty and wellbeing generally of dogs living in New Zealand. 1.2. To foster promote and encourage kindness and understanding of all peoples toward dogs. 1.3. To educate the public in any and all matters concerning the welfare of dogs and to promote responsible dog ownership and to promote better care for dogs in the hope that this will reduce the incidence of dog mistreatment, abandonment and cruelty. 1.4. To rescue of dogs from cruel and irresponsible acts and from euthanasia not considered necessary for medical or animal welfare reasons. 1.5.
