The Trust was settled by the Late Thomas Burrows and the Late John Burrows to apply the Trust funds for charitable purposes within New Zealand for: (a) The relief of the poor, the infirm, the sick, and of the aged (b) Medical research in relation to improving the conditions of the poor, the infirm, the sick, and the aged (c) The advancement of religion through congregations or members for the purposes of the relief of the poor, the infirm, the aged or sick, together with the advancement of religious instruction and associated requirements
