The Board of the Dunedin Writers and Readers Festival

• To establish and administer a regular literary and multi-genre festival in Dunedin involving local, national and international writers. • To plan the programme of the literary festival. • To raise funds to meet costs for the festival. • To establish and administer a festival that will promote literacy and the enjoyment of the written word. • To encourage international understanding and interest by establishing communication between Dunedin writers, writers from Dunedin’s sister cities, other UNESCO Cities of Literature, and other collaborations as appropriate.
