Mission: Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery Incorporated was formed : a. To develop and foster the practice and appreciation of art in West Auckland with an emphasis on contemporary New Zealand art in all its creative diversity. b. To provide and manage a public regional gallery to cater for the exhibition, performance and development of visual arts in West Auckland c. Our Core Purpose : Te Uru Gallery is committed to providing contemporary visual arts and design experiences that inspire, engage and challenge. By presenting an exhibition programme that reflects and represents the full diversity of cultural identities and interests of our community and allows "barrier-free" access to all.
