We need to remain connected. Maoritanga – preserving our Māori culture, enhancing our identity and continuing the legacy through taonga, tuku iho – Our Taranaki history, kapa haka, waiata, haka, moteatea, te reo, tikanga Māori, oranga tangata – revitalising te reo within our whānau. Support the wellbeing of our whanau through whanaungatanga and wairuatanga. By teaching our own culture we are in a better position to be open to cultural differences (tauiwi) in our society.
