Community-led development primarily for residents of the Whanganui River Road Settlement Communities with a focus on social, environmental, economic, and self-reliance, in order to create transformation and a thriving remote rural community. Secondly to work alongside whanau, Marae and Hapu entities. The Trust will: - Engage in community-led development within eight Whanganui Settlement Communities from Pungarehu to Pipiriki; - Seek to create a thriving and inclusive community advancing all people; - Take a balanced long-term versus immediate focus; and - Provide other support and assistance consistent with this purpose.
