To foster an interest in railways and railway transport generally. To promote and develop, in association with other interested parties, the preservation of railway and other equipment, especially that which has relevance to the Wellington region, in a working museum as may be determined by Silver Stream Railway. Silver Stream Railway museum exhibits and facilities shall be available to the general public, at appropriate charges, subject to such terms and conditions as may be determined from time to time by the Committee.
