Ōtautahi Creative Spaces Trust's purpose is to provide people with mental distress with access to the life-changing power of creativity. Our goals are to empower people with mental distress to redefine their mental health journeys as practising artists; to build creative pathways within a peer arts community; and to ignite the aspirations of people with mental distress through creative resources. Through its' programmes the Trust aims to improve participants' wellbeing, social connection, community participation, cultural connection, family ties, independence and agency, work skills, prosperity, and resilience in face of adversity.
