To recognise the kaupapa of its Shareholders, that being to strengthen the whanau/hapu/iwi base of Mataatua rohe, and Aotearoa, by undertaking kai related research to: (a) grow knowledge and techniques that elevates the mātauranga of kai; (b) promote kai sustainability and sovereignty, nutritional equity and justice and support cultural, social and economic efforts to ensure our kai futures; and (c) generate positive outcomes in the context of kai and nutrition for wellbeing and the community.
