Nelson Tramping Club Incorporated

(a) encouraging tramping and associated outdoor pursuits and promote Club membership. (b) promoting safe tramping practices and develop and foster leadership skills. (c) protecting native flora and fauna and the natural features of the country. (d) organising trips in the Nelson district and elsewhere. (e) advocating for and contributing to maintaining and developing public access to tramping and other recreational areas. (f) encouraging or initiating the building of new huts and tracks and/or maintaining existing huts and tracks where the Club feels these support its purposes. (g) encouraging or fostering good relationships with other kindred organisations. (h) encouraging fellowship between Club members. (i) acquiring property for the purposes of the Club and disposing of property no longer required. (j) acting in co-operation with the Government or any other Club, Committee, Society or Institution for the promotion of the above purposes.
