Mokai Patea Waitangi Claims Trust

The purposes for which the Mokai Patea Waitangi Claims Trust was established is to receive, hold, manage and administer the Trust Fund for every Charitable Purpose benefiting the Beneficiaries and the public generally, in particular: (a) to further and conclude the claims of the confederated iwi of Mokai Patea against the Crown for historical breaches of Te Tiriti o Waitangi; (b) to assist the advancement of educational generally by providing a corpus of research associated with the history of the rohe of Mokai Patea and the relationships between the Appointing Iwi and the Crown.
