About
The NTHT Mission is to increase the supply of quality, affordable, healthy homes and housing services for people/whānau in need, while upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We own and manage energy-efficient rental homes for people on low incomes. We have two rent levels: "affordable rental" which is 70-80% of market rent; and "social/public housing" in which tenants pay 25% of their income for rent (and Ministry for Social Development pays NTHT the Income-Related Rent Subsidy (IRRS).
