The purposes of the Society are to improve the experience of miscarriage in New Zealand by: Creating a supportive community around miscarriage. Being considerate of all miscarriage experiences (avoiding assumptions about what miscarriage means for individuals). Providing practical information for people in New Zealand who experience miscarriage. Working alongside related organisations, government departments and professionals. Improving the knowledge and understanding of miscarriage among all New Zealanders. Being a national voice for miscarriage. Advocating for improvements to miscarriage care. Maintaining a high standard in all that we do. Being an open and sharing society. Being a society that can be sustained into the future. Doing anything necessary or helpful to the above purposes.
