To foster and encourage the kind and humane treatment of horses and to prevent and discourage cruelty to and harsh and thoughtless treatment of horses. To rehabilitate and otherwise bring back to working health unwanted, injured or ill horses and find suitable homes and people to adopt them with a clause that they be returned to McCallum horse and pony welfare society if they are no longer wanted, this way we can ensure that they do not end up in a bad situation again.
