Mission: The vision of the Maths Achievement Challenge and CRACAMAC is to develop extension and enrichment Inquiry learning through investigations, enhance independent work habits, problem solving, and logical skills. The development of a positive attitude to maths and perseverance are important qualities through the programme. In addition to deep personal satisfaction and pride in their achievements, students are rewarded with badges and certificates. The trust provides 10 free challenges/badges to all South Island Decile 1-4 schools at the beginning of each year. Last year was the first year we covered the whole island, and due to inquiries from schools, we are looking at moving this free project to cover the North Island also.
