Matakohe Limestone Island Endowment Trust

The charitable purposes of the trust shall be to be beneficial to the community by holding funds to be used for the following purposes: a. Ensuring the effective management of Matakohe/Limestone Island in accordance with the Whangarei City Council Management Plan, so that is natural, recreational, historic and cultural features and values are protected and enhanced to the benefit of the Whangarei District. b. Providing financial, material and physical support for the work on Motu Matakohe/Limestone Island c. Heightening public awareness of the existence and role of the siland as a scenic reserve d. Doing all other things incidental or conducive to advancing those purposes e. Holding and investing funds vested in it by the Settlor and others to be used for the advancement of the above purposes
