To preserve and protect indigenous flora and fauna and support biodiversity for public benefit and in the public interest in the Kauri Mountain ecological area of Northland; To reinstate indigenous habitat through reforestation, regeneration, and wetland restoration; To undertake the control and eradication of plant and animal pests known to be harmful to indigenous flora and fauna and indigenous biodiversity;
