Kaitaia Riding for the Disabled Association Incorporated

The main aim of our organisation is to improve the physical and emotional wellbeing of over 20 children in the Far North, with disabilities, by teaching them to interact with their pony, teacher aid, side walker and other riders through fun activities. Our approach is to assess each child indiviually and design a programme tailored to their specific needs. Our rules state that we provide horse riding opportunities to facilitate rehabilitation of disabled persons in Kaitaia district, physical and mental health is likely to benefit from such paticipation.
