Mission: The purpose of the organisation is to provide a well equipped woodworking and engineering workshop and facilities where skilled and unskilled men, exchange experiences, and work together on interesting projects for the community, and projects for their own use. Some items may be sold to keep the shed in new tools and materials and many items are donated to refugees, kindergartens and other community outreaches. Most members are if retirement age and an important role is to support those in need of help arising from loneliness, mental illness or other debilitating diseases, and provide an additional link between the primary health network and the many men who have no regular contact with that network. Sheds enable social interaction and activities to maintain the health and well being of members and build a culture where all are welcome and where mutual trust and respect are paramount.
