The care, relief and welfare of the indigent, aged, and sick persons in Canterbury but especially in the Christchurch suburb of Hornby. The promotion of community health and welfare development in Canterbury and in particular of Hornby and of the persons within the area. Provision of buildings, equipment, facilities and amenities for or relating to the same or for the mental, spiritual, physicial or cultural needs of such a community or persons. Research relating to the foregoing. The training and accommodation of persons wholly or partly engaged in the foregoing.
