Mission: The Friends of Pomallier are a small group of members who are generous with their voluntary time - raising funds to provide many of the additional and essential requirements for the residents of the Home. Over the past twelve months they provided afternoon teas to residents on a regular monthly basis. Donate the Christmas ham and wine for the residents of Pompallier Rest Home. Hold a Christmas party at the home with local entertainment. Hold a community raffle each year to obtain funds for the organisation. Set up a "Comfort fund" to provide small necessities for residents needs. After 40 years, there has been a tremendous change taken place in August 2019. The residents have now moved into a new purpose built care wing in the health hub. they have bright new spacious rooms. However the courtyard area is stark and bare and hot in summer. As a group we would like to improve this in some way. Continued support of the residents will continue in the mean time.
