Danish Lutheran Church of New Zealand

The Church is a private Danish church, which is based on an Evangelical-Lutheran foundation in affiliation with the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Danish Lutheran Church of New Zealand is affiliated to the Danish organisation “The Danish Church Abroad / Danish Seamen´s Church”, and is under the ecclesiastical supervision of the bishop of Lolland-Falster. The purpose of the church is to give Danes abroad the possibility of maintaining a connection to the traditions and rituals as we know them from the Danish Folk Church. The Danish Lutheran Church of New Zealand will conduct baptisms, confirmation, weddings and funerals, Danish church services and arrange functions for Danes and their relatives.
