Chinese Poll Tax Heritage Trust

PURPOSE OF THE FUND The Trust Fund has been established to provide for project, salary, administrative and other relevant project costs for persons and groups in New Zealand to use for charitable purposes that meet the objectives and align with the outcomes of the Trust Fund. OBJECTIVES OF THE FUND: The Trust Fund aims to strengthen the unique identity of Chinese New Zealanders and their communities. The outcomes of the Trust Fund are to achieve: ◊ recognition of the contribution that Chinese settlers have made to New Zealand; and ◊ a greater awareness for the culture and heritage of the early settler Chinese community.
