1/ To spend $2,000 per annum in planting trees and shrubs and beautifying bays and beaches around Wellington Harbour. 2/ To expand the balance in planting trees and shrubs on the town belt, other public reserves, picnic and recreation places in Wellington within 25 miles of the Wellington Post Office which are open and accessible to the citizens of Wellington. 3/ The Settlors Express Wish - the money shall be expended in addition to the usual current yearly expenditure on reserves and recreation grounds in beautifying the environs of Wellington (especially by planting native trees and shrubs.)
