"(a) To provide a focus and centre for blues/roots music in the Wellington region, by forming a public profile, as well as a database on blues/roots music. (b) To disseminate this information relevant to playing, performing, listening to and collecting blues/roots music, by means of meetings, newsletters and live performances to the wider Wellington community (c)To promote blues/roots music in the Wellington region by providing platforms/venues, (d) To be affiliated with the national organization New Zealand Blues Society (NZBS) in order to liaise with the wider musical blues community (e) To network with other organizations in the Wellington region that have similar goals to ours, (f) To liaise with schools and students of musical courses, (g) To create an archive of blues/roots music in the Wellington region, which is to be available to all members of the wider Wellington community, by supporting and promoting recordings, as well as other forms of historical record."
