The purpose of the Football development project is to enhance physical fitness and athletic skills among youth/juniors in underserved communities, specifically targeting communities in Oamaru, Timaru, Waitaki Valley, Twizel and potentially Central Otago where access to quality sports programs is limited. This initiative seeks to foster teamwork, discipline, and resilience, while also emphasising the importance of healthy lifestyles and social inclusion.
