Women's Centre New Plymouth Incorporated

The Centre takes a humanist approach and our initiatives are based on the philosophy that meeting people’s basic needs such as food, shelter and a sense of belonging are the starting point for self sufficiency, growth and emotional well being. We provide support and validation to women and their families who are distressed by events in their life. We offer advocacy when needed, up to date information on available services and an established network of other community agencies and professionals. We maintain a relaxed and friendly space which fosters a sense of belonging, participation and self reliance. As well as immediate assistance we also offer on-going practical support and mentoring.
