Winton and Margaret Bear Charitable Trust
About
Mr and Mrs Bear formed The Winton and Margaret Bear Charitable Trust because they believed that an investment in young people would pave the way for New Zealanders of the future. This Trust was established by deed on 15th July 1993, with subsequent amendments, by Winton Graham Bear and Margaret Alice Mary Bear. The Deed directs the Trustee to distribute the income for the purposes of the Trust. The Deed defines the objectives of the Trust as primarily to assist young people in their training for life this includes; but is not limited to: Confidence Building, Self-Motivation, Control of Aggression, Coping with Demands of Society, Stress Management and Physical & Mental Well-being. The Deed provides the Trustee the discretion for capital to be distributed, and for any or all of the net annual income to be capitalised for the first 80 years.
