Wellington Volunteer Coastguard Incorporated

Coastguard Wellington is one of the 65 units around New Zealand's coastline and major lakes affiliated to the Royal New Zealand Coastguard (CNZ). CNZ provide governance, operational, financial and administrative support to the unit allowing volunteers to focus their time on where it is needed most - saving lives at sea. Coastguard Wellington assists the Rescue Coordination Centre of New Zealand (RCCNZ) and the New Zealand Police with marine search and rescue incidents, by providing trained volunteers and boats. It also provides non-urgent assistance to the public and Coastguard members.
