Wellington Vintage Machinery Incorporated is established to provide an environment for people in the Wellington Region to pursue and develop their interests in preserving vintage machinery and related items for future generations to enjoy. In particular Wellington Vintage Machinery: • Provides an environment to ensure that vintage machinery from the land, related industrial applications, and other items of special historical interest are preserved, restored, and displayed so as to remain part of the cultural heritage for the Wellington Region; and • Provides a venue for people to have access to vintage machinery to learn about the historical significance of the machinery, and to participate in the preservation and restoration and operation of the machinery; and • Participates in various public events by providing working displays of vintage machinery to inform and educate the general public and younger generations about New Zealand’s cultural heritage.
