Mission: The purpose of the Wellington Community Justice Project Incorporated (the WCJP) is threefold: (a) The WCJP seeks to improve access to justice and legal services in the community. (b) The WCJP aims to provide law students with an opportunity to gain practical legal experience. (c) The WCJP aims to foster a sense of community among our volunteers who are passionate about social justice. These purposes are achieved through the WCJP’s work with local community groups to establish and complete projects that fill identified gaps in the community, and providing members with an opportunity to volunteer in these projects. The WCJP also organises events to upskill volunteers, thank volunteers for their efforts, and provide a platform for them to meet and get to know volunteers from other projects.
