To encourage the study of botany, particularly the NZ flora; foster an appreciation of NZ native plants, especially in the field, and to encourage the cultivation of native plants; to advocate for the conservation and protection of NZ native plants, and for the protection of lands and waters in their natural state under protected area statutes.
