Wellington and Manawatu Railway Trust

To acquire the remains of Wellington & Manawatu Railway Company steam locomotive No.9 (also known as NZ Railways N-class No.453). To raise funds for and facilitate the restoration of this locomotive to operational condition. Operate the restored locomotive on preserved railways and the national railway network throughout NZ. To promote knowledge, education, research and discussion of the original Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company (1882 - 1908).
