To promote the health and well-being benefits (both mental and physical) of participating in sailing. To encourage participation and educate persons of all ages and ability in both recreational and racing sailing. To generate appreciation for and provide education about the fresh water lakes environment in particular and other natural resources of New Zealand in general. To support and co-operate with like-minded community organsiations, clubs, societies and associations.
