Waiwhetu Te Kohanga Reo Charitable Trust

Waiwhetu Te Kohanga Reo Charitable Trust was established by Wawhetu Marae to provide a childcare facilty that children can attend from 6 months to school age, in a full imersion te reo Māori environment. The operation and decision making of our Kōhanga Reo is the responsibility of the whole whānau under the guidelines of Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust. Our kōhanga can cater for a roll of up to 33 tamariki, and currently has 9 teaching staff. We have staff qualified in both whakapakiri and ECE and a strong whanau committed to our center's success and excellence.
