1. To contribute to the Waitara community in a positive way to enable and encourage a caring, supportive and collective community 2. To raise awareness and encourage residents of the community to participate in positive change 3. To advocate for the community's views on the matters that will affect their future. 4. To Liaise with other groups with an aim to encourage and promote activities and events for the prosperous wellbeing of the community. 5. To provide information on groups and services available in the community and when necessary, refer inquiries to the appropriate group or service.. 6. To provide or assist in the provision of resources to support developmental initiatives or support the better utilisation of existing resources for the community. 7. To accept monies and property by way of gift or otherwise for the purposes of the Society, and to apply and distribute or administer the resulting money or other property for the purposes of the Society in whatever manner a
