To benefit the community through the advancement of sport and recreation in West Auckland (the region) with a particular emphasis on advancing the skills of youth engaging in amateur athletics so as to assist the development and realisation of their track and field potential and on the development of coaching and administration to high standards. To further education by developing athletic capabilities and skills within schools and educational institutions in the region. Where and when appropriate, the promotion of physically active and healthy lifestyle programmes and activities in the region with a view to achieving the objects hereinbefore mentioned.
