Waipa Rere Noa is a society with the environmental purpose of restoring the upper Waipa River. The first objective is to facilitate "the rehabilitation and restoration of the riparian margins of the Waipa River; The second objective is to facilitate "the rehabilitation and restoration of critical source areas"; The final objective of the Society is to facilitate the development and implementation of "a community walkway along the riparian margins of the Waipa River.
