Waingongoro Awa Charitable Trust

The Trust has been established for the primary purpose of restoring the ecosystem and water quality of the Hawke's Bay coastal stream known as Waingongoro awa. In achieving this purpose the Trust will advance education around environmental protection and provide benefits to the wider community by: * enhancing biodiversity values * building capability around freshwater management * transferring Matuaranga Maori to younger generations * protecting Tangata Whenua with sites of significance
