Benefitting the community by: (a) Promoting tramping and enjoyment of the outdoors by arranging trips (b) Promoting public health by encouraging the participation in physical exercise (c) Encouraging the development of skills and knowledge appropriate to the outdoors (d) Developing knowledge about and appreciation for native flora and fauna (e) Helping to establish new and maintain existing tracks and huts by providing volunteers or donations as appropriate (f) Encouraging good relationships with other kindred outdoor organisations
