Objectives: To build an active Mathematical Association that will provide professional development and learning opportunities for mathematics and statistics teachers. To provide worthwhile and plentiful opportunities for networking and sharing of ideas and concerns. To attract and build connections across all sectors. To support teachers with NZC and NCEA. To provide enrichment opportunities for students in the WMA region at all levels. e.g. Statistics/Calculus scholarship days and WaiMaths quiz. To recognise the history of the Waikato Mathematics Association by establishing life memberships and keeping records of regional award winners i.e. Jim Campbell
