Vidya Trust

The recitals and aims of the Vidya Trust deed reads ‘D. Without detracting from the exclusively charitable nature of the Trust established by this Deed the Trustees intend that (so far as is lawful and practically possible) the aims of the trust will be: a) in accordance with the principles of the Western Buddhist Order [Name change 2010 Tiratna Buddhist Order] to acquire, develop and use land and buildings for establishing and maintaining Buddhist women’s residential communities, and women’s retreat facilities. b) To advance the Buddhist faith in New Zealand by encouraging and educating people to live in accordance with the Teachings of the Buddha.’
